World Health Awareness Month

April is World Health Awareness Month. It brings to the forefront the importance of knowing our health status and being proactive in ensuring good health. This month gives us an opportunity to focus on the importance of our overall health and take the time to take care of ourselves.

Not only in this month, but all year round we should prioritise getting the right care, screenings, and treatments and taking the steps that help our chances of living a longer, healthier life. Visiting our GP once or twice a year is crucial in ensuring our bodies are performing at their

peak. Regular health check-ups and tests can help find problems before they start. They also can help detect illnesses during early stages, when your chances of treatment and recovery are high.

In the busy everyday hustle and bustle we often take for granted how much we rely on our bodies on a daily basis and the importance of good health. It is important to realise that without good health; our life loses its quality and it becomes difficult to cope with existing health issues

Most people have more than one health issue and about 2.3 billion people worldwide have more than five health conditions.

Tenscare is a trusted provider of electrotherapy devices to the NHS. Our medical devices are recommended throughout the world by pain clinics and physiotherapy departments, for all types of long term pain management.

Our TENS and electrotherapy devices provide drug-free pain relief for chronic pain conditions as well as the acute pain of childbirth; muscle rehabilitation for post injury or trauma and muscle strengthening for bladder weakness as well as erectile dysfunction.

On the 7th of April the World Health Organisation celebrates World Health Day by drawing attention to a different issue each year. This year’s health topic is Depression.

Pain and depression are closely related. Depression can cause pain —pain can cause depression. Sometimes pain and depression create a vicious cycle in which pain worsens symptoms of depression, and then the resulting depression worsens feelings of pain. When both chronic illnesses and depression are present, it is extremely important to treat both.

Depression is a treatable condition. So it's important to seek medical support from experts you trust and talk openly about any ongoing questions and concerns you have. This is also true for the treatment for chronic pain.

At TensCare we want to help you to feel better naturally and we specialise in providing a range of TENS machines focused on providing drug-free pain relief.
