What is ISO EN 13485?
ISO 13485 is an international standard of Quality Management Systems (QMS) for companies involved in the manufacture of medical devices. The latest version of the standard has a greater emphasis on risk management and risk-based decision making, as well as changes related to the increased regulatory requirements for organizations in the supply chain.
TENS, EMS, IFT, and MIC units are medical devices and therefore should be supplied with the correct safety requirements set out by European Commission.
ISO accreditation demonstrates a commitment to quality in manufacturing and business processes to ensure customer safety and product reliability. It demonstrates the consistent design, development, production, and delivery of medical devices that are safe for their intended purpose.
